A Trinicom Communications sales engineer will go over your needs and design a system that will function best for your budget. Once a connection type is determined (T1, ADSL or Cable) that will work with the total phone extension load at your primary location we will pre-qualify your address to determine the cost involve. If you do not currently have an approved level of Internet connection, Trinicom can put in T1's and ADSL in most of Houston and surrounding areas. Then we will order the circuits for you (T1 or ADSL), T1's are installed within a few weeks, while ADSL is usually a few days. If you are porting your phone #'s over we will start the process at this time. Once we establish internet connectivity at you location(s) we will program the phones and work with you to set up your phone features. Then we will set up the phones side by side with your old system do testing and verify we are getting the best quality out of your network. We will also set up the phones for any offsite extensions that you need, the offsite users will only have to take the phone to their location and plug it in to their broadband network. Once that is approved and the phone #'s are ported over we will then disconnect your old phone system and then recycle it for you or you can keep it. On a new office you will not have to wired up both phone and Ethernet (data) jacks and wiring, since the phones share your Ethernet (data) network there is no cost for added wiring.

Functionality

Once the system is in place it will function like any traditional extension based phone system. You can have single or multiple auto attendant(s) direct your calls for you or you can have your receptionist field your calls. Once a call is received by anyone in the system they can transfer it to anyone at your office or to any remote extension via the Internet. Worried if your internet connection goes down? Your phone system will keep working at our NOC so clients will get your VM, we can also forward your phones to your cell phones in case of line outage. Voice Mail is integrated and even can send a copy to your email! You can even set up your voicemail or auto attendant to prompt users to dial out of the system to a cell phone. Conference calling is a snap, you can create a virtual conference room extension that anyone can join or leave at any time even outside callers. Hold music is also a free part of the setup. All extension to extension calls have no long distance charges, no matter where they are in the world. The VoIP - SIP phones all feature large LCD displays that will show you Caller-ID and any missed calls. Since you keep one standard fax line, we use a special box to redirect all 911 calls through the fax line to give you 911 support, this will not add the 911 feature to remote phones. On all of the executive phones feature a headset jack so you can connect you head set.

Quality of Service and the Switched Phone Network

For our Trinicom T1 customers we can offer true QOS at the Cisco Router level, this ensures no matter how heavy your Internet traffic is we will be able to keep your calls clean and clear. For ADSL or Cable clients we can install a QOS LAN router (one time cost) to enable QOS from your non Trinicom network. Once your call leaves our NOC to any calls outside of our network it will ride on Fiber to a traditional switched telecom environment to the destination phone or system. This is important since common VoIP carriers allow their phone calls to transverse other IP networks that they do not control, this can lead to garbled calls and call drops. Since we are using a Switched Network there are long distance charges (for T1 customers you get 2,000 nation wide minutes free) however the trade off is that your calls even international ones will continue to be clear and free of any errors.
